Gilt bronze hilt with a one-branch guard. Rectangular-shaped knuckle guard decorated with an ancient helmet on a background of military trophies, the lower part adorned with a palmette, curved quillon ending in a lion's head. Square-section branch guard ending in an openwork palmette at the upper part. Pommel with a short tail simply decorated with an oak branch crown at the cap and a beaded ribbon at the base. Bias fluted ebony handle. White blade in faux Damascus with a polished mirror cartouche and oriental inscription, curved, flat back, length 83.4 cm. Blued steel scabbard with four gilt bronze fittings. Relief entry of the scabbard conforming to the shape of the cushion. Two rectangular-shaped scabbard rings with prominent moldings, centers of the rings decorated with a rectangular cartouche with a sanded background. Long chape decorated at the upper part with a sanded ribbon with fleur-de-lis and foliage framed by a prominent molding, and the lower end representing wavy leaves on a sanded background. Gilt bronze blade tip.
