Gilt bronze hilt. Single-branch guard. Rectangular crosspiece decorated with an ancient-style helmet on a background of military trophies, the lower part of the crosspiece is decorated with a palmette, curved quillon ending in a lion's head. Square-section guard branch terminating at the top in an openwork palmette. Pommel with a short tang simply decorated with an oak branch wreath at the cap level and a beaded ribbon at the bottom. Bias-checkered ebony grip. White blade in faux damascus with a mirror-polished cartouche and an inscription in an oriental style, curved, flat back, length 83.4 cm. Blued steel scabbard with four gilt bronze fittings. Scabbard entry in relief following the shape of the ear. Two rectangular-shaped belt rings with protruding moldings, the centers of the rings decorated with a rectangular sandblasted background cartouche. Long drag decorated at the top with a sandblasted ribbon with fleurons and foliage framed by a protruding molding, and the lower end depicting undulating leaves on a sandblasted background. Gilt bronze blade.
