FOUILLÉ Georges, Jean, Clément. Born in 1909 in Paris, Passed away in 1994 in Leucate.
Appointed official painter of the Navy in 1947.
Originally destined for the Navy, his health forced him to give it up. Georges Fouillé then turned to maritime painting and was appointed a full member of the Marine painters, boarding the Richelieu in 1949.
Fouillé aimed to combine art with historical research. Georges Fouillé brings a historian's precision to his work.
Mr. Fouillé also created lead soldier figurines as well as dioramas and models.
