Silver eagle with five double-pointed rays enameled in white topped with a crown. Star surrounded by oak and laurel leaves enameled light green. Obverse center in gold depicting the profile of the crowned head of the Emperor to the sinister, surrounded by a circle of blue enamel with the inscription in gold letters: "NAPOLÉON EMP. DES FRANÇAIS" on a background of a radiant sun. Reverse center showing the Imperial Eagle, head to the right (a rare variant), on a field of azure, surrounded by a circle of blue enamel with the gold motto: "HONNEUR ET PATRIE" (Honor and Country).
Star topped with a crown, independent and surmounted by a small ball pierced by the suspension ring, topped with a small cross, thicker than that of the second type model, featuring eight wide fleurons and eight beaded arches.
The crown has a hook inside to be passed through the suspension ball on the easel located between the two upper branches of the cross.
