KING'S HOUSEHOLD BODYGUARDS PISTOL, first model, 1814-1816, First Restoration. 29825

Bent barrel "Thunder" model, inspired by the An IX model, gold-plated with Alphand mark, blued along the entire length, and engraved in gold letters: "King's Bodyguards". Caliber 17 mm. Barrel length 20 cm, with breech 24.7 cm, total length 35 cm.
13th Cavalry model lockplate with slight bevel at the battery, stamped with crowned "B" by Daniel Bouissavy and signed "Maubeuge Manuf Rle", guilloché screw heads. Stock with very sloping butt ending in a straight knob topped with a cap. Brass fittings, trigger guard ending in a fleur-de-lis, elliptical-shaped butt cap with raised relief of the Arms of France. Iron ramrod.
