Saber derived from the model 1821. Brass hilt. Guard with two branches, one of them lateral, main branch stamped "11", "B" with a star in an F.A. Bisch shield, 2nd class controller stamp at the Châtellerault manufacturing from February 16, 1844, to January 25, 1861, and "M" under a crown and with a narrow quillon plate, cap with a bead and short tail, filigree silver-hilted horn handle. Slightly curved blade with hollow facets, signed on the back "Royal Manufacture of Châtt June 1854 - Infantry NCO of the Guard Model 1854", length 75.8 cm. Leather knot. Black varnished leather scabbard molded with two lines on each face, with three brass fittings, leather stamped by the manufacturer in an oval "...unreadable in Paris".
