Typical one-piece bronze hilt for this model. Single-branch guard. Ribbed grip with 19 strands. Curved blade with hollow bevels, length 59.2 cm, stamped with the "R" under a rounded crown, late version from 1775 onwards from the Klingenthal manufacturing plant known as the "R with the large crown" (R for Rex King, instituted following the appointment of a military artillery inspector in Klingenthal from April 1756, and a civilian controller), back of the blade marked "Mfre Rle D'Alsace". Blade engraved for 10.5 cm at the base on each side with a military trophy and musical instruments.

This sword dates back to the very first productions as the large crown stamp was replaced from 1776 by a stamp with the small crown R.
