Walnut stock engraved "1779" with barely legible markings. Brass trigger guard, cap, and lockplate. Lockplate signed "St Etienne", stamped with a crowned "L" for controller Étienne Lallier, 1772-1778. Flintlock mechanism. Round smoothbore barrel, engraved with "79" and a crowned "B" with a fleur-de-lys corresponding to inspector Joseph Bertheas, 1772-1777, length 18.9 cm, overall length with breechplug 21.5 cm. Steel ramrod with nail head. Caliber 18 mm. Total length of the weapon 33 cm.
