HISTORY:
The 127th battle half-brigade was created in 1794, from the 68th infantry regiment, to which were associated the 2nd volunteer battalion of Haut-Rhin and the 3rd volunteer battalion of Haute-Marne. In 1796, it was incorporated into the 91st line infantry half-brigade. The 127th line infantry regiment was created in 1811 during the annexation of the northwest coasts of Germany, from the Hamburg and Lübeck guards. It was later dissolved in 1814.
