Hat made of black "flamand" felt; H from the front part from the curved section 18.7 cm, H from the front part from the bottom of the horns 24.3 cm, H from the back part from the curved section 25 cm, H from the back part from the bottom of the horns 33 cm, width 41 cm, depth of the cap 14.5 cm.
Trimming formed by a woven silver braid in the design of the braid of the King's Bodyguards and that of Monsieur's Bodyguards separated by a black silk piping in the center, it is fixed at the lower part by the uniform button. Uniform button in silver-plated metal stamped with the arms of Monsieur, the King's brother, large size, 1814 model, diameter 2.7 cm. Cockade in silver passamenterie, diameter 8 cm.
Interior cap composed of a band of black waxed leather topped with a black silk cap. White paper label printed in black: "at the Reunion of good Taste, DUMAS, Hattrade Chapeau Maker.
