Vermeil star, with five double-pointed rays adorned with brilliants, framed by a branch of oak and laurel leaves in light green enamel. Obverse center in gold depicting the profile effigy of the Republic facing left, bordered by a blue enamel ribbon with the inscription in gold letters "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE". Reverse center featuring two crossed enamel tricolor flags, bordered by a blue ribbon bearing the inscription "HONNEUR ET PATRIE".
Suspension ring hallmarked.
Scarlet silk ribbon.
Total height with suspension ring 2.6 cm, diameter 1.6 cm.
Presented in a box covered in light brown leather (not of the model).
