Rectangular-shaped miniature H 15 cm, W 11 cm (sight size).
Very beautiful watercolor and gouache miniature.
Full-length portrait depicting a musketeer in full dress, in a wooded landscape with his helmet placed to the side.
Presented in a gilded wooden frame H 28.5 cm, W 24.5 cm, under glass.

Restoration period.
Good condition. The figure is in very good condition, the landscape shows traces of damp stains and accidents in the gouache.

NOTE:
It is quite rare to find miniature portraits of Musketeers from the Restoration period; in proportion, it is more "common" to come across portraits from the Old Monarchy… This portrait is quite remarkable, despite the accidents and alterations from time.
