BIOGRAPHY:
René Jean de Botherel du Plessix (La Chapelle-du-Lou, May 6, 1745 - London, August 6, 1805) was a Breton counter-revolutionary. As the attorney general of the Estates of Brittany at the beginning of the Revolution, he unsuccessfully attempted to defend the prerogatives of the Estates of Brittany and the Parliament of Brittany against the revolutionary authorities.
