"We, Louis Joseph Baron de la Garde de Chambonas, Commander in Chief of the two Companies of Loyal Foreigners in Guernsey, Certify that Mr. Louis de la Perrière, a French Émigré, served under our command in the second company as a Quartermaster since the formation of the said company in 1803.
I can truthfully say that his conduct has earned my esteem and that I have nothing but praise for his accuracy and services. In witness thereof, we have issued this document to him, to be valid and effective in all respects, and have affixed the seal of our Arms.
Guernsey, January 5, 1815.

AUTHENTICITY The selection of items offered on this site allows me to guarantee the authenticity of each piece described here, all items offered are guaranteed to be period and authentic, unless otherwise noted or restricted in the description.
An authenticity certificate of the item including the description published on the site, the period, the sale price, accompanied by one or more color photographs is automatically provided for any item priced over 130 euros. Below this price, each certificate is charged 5 euros.
