Beautiful and rare letter, one month after the landing at Pointe de Pen Lan of ammunition, weapons, and money (night of November 28-29, 1799), overseen by Commodore Keats. Georges Cadoudal presents his respects to the Commodore, congratulating him "on his prompt return. Count Le Loureux, who is going on board, will inform him in detail about our situation and the measures I am taking to receive the items he brings us. I hope to have the honor myself shortly to speak with Commodore about everything that I believe is useful and necessary for the success of our arms."

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
The landing at Pointe de Pen Lan (night of November 28-29, 1799) was a delivery of arms, ammunition, and gold organized during the Third Chouannerie by Georges Cadoudal and English minister Windham, taking place at the mouth of the Vilaine River, on the Pointe de Pen Lan in Billiers (current department of Morbihan in Brittany).
