*In 1793, Berstheim, a village in Alsace at that time part of the bailiwick of Haguenau, was the scene of a battle between the Republicans, the troops of Condé's emigrants, and the Austrians.
History records that the Battle of Berstheim on December 2, 1793, only involved the Army of Condé (stricto sensu) against the Republican Army.
The Austrians, for their part, did not participate in this battle.
