Cap in fine garance cloth trimmed on its four corners with three golden braid passementerie, crown of the same cloth framed by a golden passementerie braid and decorated in the center with a Hungarian knot composed of four small golden passementerie braids. Headband in fine black cloth, richly embroidered with two rows of oak leaves and acorns, trimmed in its upper circumference with a golden thread and sequins braid and a golden passementerie braid and a silver soutache symbolizing a superior command. Leather visor in strong blackened and varnished leather, lined on the reverse with black chamois, gold-stamped with the initial "C.M.", black waxed leather edging sewn on the outer edge. The upper part of the visor is bordered with a golden braid along the headband. Sweatband in fine black leather gold-stamped with the hat maker's name "E Bidal 3 rue de Richelieu PARIS" with ivory silk ribbon, interior of the cap in black satin. Total height with visor 9.5 cm, height of the black headband 6 cm, height of the front garance headband 1.5 cm, at the back 1.8 cm.
