Silver eagle with five double-pointed rays enameled in white, topped with a crown. Star surrounded by oak and laurel leaves in light green enamel. Obverse center in gold depicting the crowned profile of the Emperor facing left against a background of a radiant sun, encircled by a blue enamel ring with the inscription in gold letters: "NAPOLEON EMP. DES FRANÇAIS". Reverse center showing the Imperial Eagle, head facing left, right wing passing behind the body, on a blue field, surrounded by a blue enamel circle with the golden motto: "HONNEUR ET PATRIE" (HONOR AND COUNTRY).
Star topped with a crown, independent and surmounted by a small ball pierced by the suspension ring, crowned with a small cross, more rounded than the second type model, featuring eight broad fleurons with eight beaded arches.
The crown has a hook on the inside to be passed through the suspension ball of the easel located between the two upper arms of the cross.
