Brass hilt, guard with six branches forming an openwork shell with a fleur-de-lis musketeer cross. Cap with a short tail, handle wrapped in calfskin filigree brass. Two-hollow ground blade, 90.5 cm long, engraved with floral motifs. Black waxed leather scabbard with three brass fittings.

In good condition, the hilt is original with traces of gilding, authentic cap and grip; Restoration period blade for a sub-officer model; scabbard reconstructed subsequently.
