Eight-sided barrel at the breech, length 1.03 m, length with the breech tail 1.085 m. Caliber 17 mm. Walnut stock with a long shaft. Brass thumb piece in the style of the Monsieur's Bodyguards, stamped brass. All brass fittings secured to the stock by steel springs. Brass trigger guard cut out in the shape of a stylized fleur-de-lis. Drum lockplate signed "St Etienne Mfre Royale."
