BICORNE OFFICER'S HAT OF LIGHT INFANTRY OF THE ROYAL FRENCH CORPS, model 1814, Restoration period. 29324

Made of black felt, height at front 21.5 cm, height at back 26.5 cm, width 45 cm, depth around 11 cm. Trimmed in each corner with fringed tassels with large twists (called spinach seed) in silver braiding. Front part adorned with a braid made of three matte and shiny silver twists, doubling around the uniform button and held together by the same button, the middle twist wraps around itself. Large silver uniform button, model 1814: embossed with a fleur-de-lis surmounted by a crown. Cockade made of white silk braiding (diameter 10 cm). Interior lining composed of a black waxed leather band and a green silk lining.
