Gilt brass headband stamped on a sanded background featuring a flaming bomb framed by laurel and oak branches.
Silver-plated copper visor and neck guard, each bordered by a folded gilt brass welt straddling the outer edge, lined with green chamois leather for the visor, and black for the neck guard.
Gilt brass crest composed of a mask stamped on a sanded background with a palmette surmounted by a relief head of Medusa; two side crests stamped on a sanded background with a decreasing series of 8 fluted embellishments framed by pearls and droplets, their base intricately scalloped and secured to the skull by 4 round-headed screws and inner nuts per side crest.
Gilt brass plume holder consisting of a decorated olive on a sanded background with palmettes, a serrated disc featuring palmettes placed at the top of the olive, and a socket with a scalloped upper edge, adorned with laurel branches and palmettes on a sanded background; scarlet horsehair plume.
Gilt brass slightly tapered square-section plume holder engraved on the corners and decorated at the top with a wreath of foliage.
Gilt brass intertwined 8-shaped cheek pieces, chiseled, mounted on a leather chinstrap; round gilt brass rosette stamped with a radiant sun, affixed to the skull by a chiseled flat-headed screw.
Black horsehair mane, in the form of a brush ending in a flowing tail with an apparent length of about 56 cm. All mounted on a leather sole tightened at the back of the skull by a gilt brass winged screw.
Interior leather lining cut in wolf-teeth pattern with gilt inner edge.
