JACKET "KURTKA" OF THE 12th DRAGOON REGIMENT, July Monarchy. 29075
Made of light green cloth trimmed with madder red. The front is adorned with a madder red plastron lined with green cloth. This plastron is fixed and sewn to the jacket on its left side and is adorned with seven small brass uniform buttons molded with the number "12", diameter 1.5 cm. On its left side, this plastron is movable and attaches to the jacket by means of seven small brass uniform buttons. The left part of the jacket is cut into a half-plastron (light green) which for field uniform purposes is designed to cover the madder red plastron by attaching with the buttons sewn on the left side of the jacket. Slightly notched collar in light green cloth trimmed with madder red, closing with a metal hook. On the top of the left sleeve, two woven madder red seniority stripes are sewn. Straight madder red cloth cuffs trimmed with light green piping, cuffs in light green cloth trimmed with madder red and adorned with three small brass uniform buttons embossed with the number "12". Rear belt loops in light green cloth trimmed with madder red, closing with a small brass uniform button. Turnbacks in light green cloth trimmed with madder red, each adorned at the bottom with a flame bomb cut out from madder red cloth and sewn (H 5.3 cm). False vertical back pockets with three madder red piped points, each point adorned with a large brass uniform button, diameter 2.2 cm; at the bottom of the back, two large brass uniform buttons are sewn. Shoulder straps in light green cloth lined with madder red cloth. Interior lining in ecru canvas with black ink markings, serial number "D1735", dated 1835 "35".
Epaulettes with light green wool bodies, revolving and madder red wool fringes, light green cloth lining with each having a sewn ecru canvas label underneath assigned to the 12th dragoon regiment, serial number "1228C".

Very good condition for a uniform of this era, some wear on the plastron, a small repair on the cuff of the left sleeve, some moth holes, a small repair at the left elbow, complete with all buttons, some seams of the lining sometimes reinforced.
