HELMET.
Silver-plated copper bomb hallmarked on the back in the 20th century and from the manufacturer. The gutter at the base of the bomb is model 1845 with a protruding molding made up of a square thread and another round one. H 13 cm (from the base of the gutter to the top of the bomb), H 19 cm (from the bottom of the turban to the top of the bomb). Strong leather turban covered with a black navy cowhide headband which laces at the back with six metal eyelets on either side, H 11 cm at the front, H 6 cm at the sides. Visor and neck cover in silver-plated copper, each edged with a gilded brass bangle folded astride the outer border. Visor and neck cover lined with brown leather.
Crest in stamped and gilded brass, composed of a mask stamped with a flaming bomb surmounted by a Medusa head in relief with above it a crown of laurel and oak branches, H 12.5 cm, width 5 cm , it is attached to the bomb by means of a gilded brass screw; two fins struck with a decreasing series of 9 gadroons framed with pearls of acanthus leaves and palmettes and in the upper part with a series of laurel leaves, H 12.5 cm, each fixed to the bomb by means of four gilded brass screws; cover plate stamped with a decoration depicting a braided mane. Brass crest ornament composed of an olive decorated with palmettes, a socket with laurel branches and palmettes, the base is decorated with a small serrated disc, and a scarlet horsehair puff H 6.4 cm with at its base a scarlet cord enclosing the horsehair.
Plumet holder in gilded brass decorated with laurel branches model 1844, H 4.8 cm; This feather holder is specific to the 1844 model for a feather with a threaded metal rod (and not a spring). Chinstraps of the 1844 model mounted on an iron chin strap sheathed in fine black cloth, covered with a decreasing series of intertwined 8-shaped rings in gilded and chiseled brass, maximum H 4.5 cm, minimum H 2.5 cm, finished with a rosette stamped with laurel leaves diameter 5.5 cm, fixed to the turban by means of a screw.
Mane of black horsehair, apparent length of approximately 65 cm.
Inner headdress in black waxed sheepskin cut into wolf teeth, the outer edges of which are gilded with iron.

BREATHER, lightened 1825 model, Second Empire.
Model adopted in 1825. Breastplate in nickel-plated steel sheet with all gilded brass parts. The plastron is garnished with eight round-headed rivets, and the back with six rivets. Each of the two straps has a body in black cowhide, garnished with two double brass curb chains; the body is finished with a rectangular buttonhole plate, embossed with sandblasted laurel branches with a heart-shaped leather tip; the strap holder is made of brass with three rivets, the chain holder plates are covered.
Fringed scarlet cock feather plume mounted on a metal rod with specific threading for officer helmets from 1844.
