In black “Flemish” felt highlighted with a large braid woven in black wool of crossing laurel branches with scalloped edges, it is folded astride the exterior parts of the bicorne, H visible on each side 5.5 cm; braid formed of three twists in matte silver, redoubling around a large-module silver metal uniform button stamped with the uncrowned imperial eagle head to right. Tricolor cockade, diameter 6 cm. Inner headdress consisting of a brown leather headband and a scarlet silk headdress. Lining of the cap printed in black “MAISON AMBROIS / LACGER & Cie / FOURNrs du Corps Impal d’Etat Major / 22 RUE DE LA CHee D’ANTIN / Paris. ". Inside the cap, two black lacquered iron buttons are sewn for the chin strap.
Length 43.5 cm, width 15 cm, H 10.5 cm at the front, H 15.5 cm at the back.
Plumet in hanging scarlet rooster feathers with olive pompom in silver cannetilles.
