HIGHER COMMAND DIVISIONAL GENERAL'S CAP, model 1854, Second Empire
In madder cloth, with soutaches and gold braid, band in black cloth, H 4 cm, bordered with a double course of oak leaves, topped with a baguette in golden sequins and cannetilles, itself bordered in the upper part a silver soutache symbolizing a higher command; in its lower part at the level of the visor, a gold soutache is sewn. Cap decorated with a Hungarian knot composed of three flat braids in golden thread.
Square visor in black waxed and patent leather, lined with green morocco, and trimmed with a black lacquered calfskin bangle folded astride the outer edge. Inner headdress composed of a black waxed leather headband, gold-plated, topped with a pink silk headdress.
Very good state.

DIVISIONAL GENERAL'S CLOTHING.
Coat in dark blue, almost black satin cloth, lined with velvet and black satin with inner belt in burgundy waxed leather, closed on the chest by a row of nine large 1854 uniform buttons (half-curved, burnished and matt gold , stamped and relief on a background of trophy of flags with shield stamped with the star) diameter 2.1 cm. Collar in dark blue satin cloth embroidered in threads, cannetilles and golden sequins with two rows of oak leaves, bordered at the top with a scalloped baguette; it is cut rounded on the front. Sleeves ending in straight facings, of the same cloth as the tunic and similarly embroidered at the collar. Facings topped with two small module uniform buttons. Shoulder tab strap in trimmings of threads, cannetilles and gold sequins. At the bottom of the back is embroidered a waist bow similarly to the collar with four uniform buttons. False vertical rear pockets with three points, each point garnished with a large uniform button. At the bottom of each turn-up of the basques, a gold embroidered badge on blue cloth is sewn, representing a winged and sparkling staff thunderbolt.
Presence of two straps for decorations on the right chest of the garment and four straps on the left chest.
Good condition, a few moth holes, oxidation from use of the golden trimmings, an unstitched epaulette loop on one of the sides.

PAIR OF DIVISION GENERAL'S EPAULETS.
They are embroidered with twists and gold sequins. The body is embroidered with a design depicting a V-shaped stick braid bordered by a scalloped framing strip on black velvet; its crest is decorated with a shield with a scalloped edge, decorated with three silver stars. The fringes are in large matte twists. The outline is made up of three turns: a large one in matte satin and shiny yarn rolled alternately on a cotton core; an inner second in small twisted matte Milanese, mixed with another simple shiny one; a third, of the same work, is applied below the thick one, at the beginning of the fringe. Small module uniform button attached to the top of the epaulet body; a strong white metal clip bearing the inscription “ROUART * M&I * PARIS” is placed below, in the corresponding part (this clip fits into a small pocket sewn on the uniform).
Black velvet lining.
Fairly good condition, oxidized trimmings and buttons.

MILITARY MEDAL, second type, 1853 - 1870, Second Empire.
Military medal, engraving by Désiré Albert Barre, in silver, vermeil and enamel, presenting on the obverse side the effigy of the Emperor on an azure background, bordered by a blue enamel scroll, with the legend "LOUIS NAPOLÉON" and framed by a wreath of laurel leaves; reverse, central medallion bearing the inscription “VALEUR ET DISCIPLINE” on a smooth background, bordered by a blue enamel scroll, and on the reverse of the same wreath of laurel leaves. H 4 cm, width 2.6 cm.
Two-sided, one-piece bail, fixed on the medal, presenting an eagle with outstretched wings on a thunderbolt.
Yellow silk ribbon bordered with two green vertical stripes.
Good condition, weathered ribbon.

KNIGHT'S CROSS OF THE ITALIAN ORDER OF SAINT MAURICE AND LAZARUS, second type after 1868, Second Empire
White and green enamelled silver cross, topped with a silver crown. H 6.5 cm, width 4 cm. French green ribbon with rosette.
Good condition.

DIVISIONAL GENERAL’S BELT-SCARF, Second Empire.
In mesh of gold and silk ponceau yarn, presenting six bands of unmixed gold and five bands of silk and gold, all equal in width and arranged alternately lengthwise. At the ends, two trapezoidal tassels are sewn: the heads covered with gold cannetilles applied in a checkerboard pattern, with a matte stitch, called “followed stitch”, slightly domed on both sides, bearing three solid silver stars stapled together. The throats and skirts with long fringes have large matte cables.
