CARABINIER TROOP BREATHER, model 1830, July Monarchy. 29176
Breastplate composed of a backrest and a breastplate in steel plated with a sheet of brass.
Breastplate lined with ten brass nails and lined with a sheet of brass itself lined with six brass rivets. In the center is fixed a steel glory in the shape of a radiant sun on which is attached an oval brass badge stamped with a Gallic rooster on a sandblasted background framed by laurel branches. The breastplate is numbered “29”, marked “Manufre Rle de Klingenthal 1832”. Complete with its interior hooks intended to secure the quilting vest.
Back lined with six brass nails, lined with a brass plate itself lined with six brass rivets, garnished at the top with two leather straps covered with a double brass chain with intertwined round rings with brass lock , and at the bottom of a black leather belt. File marked “Manufre Rle de Klingenthal April 1834 – 1t. 2l No. 59”.
