Cardboard body covered with black cloth bordered at the top with a "lizard" type gold braid (2 cm wide) and at the bottom with a black patent leather bourdalou (2.5 cm wide). On each side, a golden braid piped in its center of black silk is sewn. This braid is sewn in a V shape. On each side of the body, a black lacquered metal vent is placed under the upper braid. Metal cockade stamped with a radiant sun and tricolor lacquered (diameter 4 cm). Front badge in stamped gilded brass representing two crossed cannons broaching a naval anchor and surmounted by a flaming bomb (width 9.5 cm, H 7.7 cm). Cap and visor in black patent leather, round in shape, the underside is black waxed and a black patent leather band is folded astride the outer edge. Inner headdress composed of a black waxed leather headband gilded with iron and a pink silk headdress.
