Gilded brass frame. Guard of a branch decorated with foliage with cruise decorated with an emperor's head. Long-tailed cap. Wooden handle entirely silver filigree. Curved blade with hollow sides, 77.3 cm long, engraved on one side “GARDE IMPERIALE” framed with military trophies, and on the other side “GRENADIER ON FOOT”. Black patent leather scabbard with two brass fittings decorated with features and scalloped edges, button cap for wearing on the belt.
