Helmet made entirely of brass. Number on the back on the neck cover “1124”, dated “32” (1832). Headband stamped with a flaming bomb framed by laurel and oak branches.
Visor and neck cover each edged with a folded brass rod astride the outer edge, visor lined with a black sheepskin and black lacquered neck cover. Crest in stamped brass, composed of a mask stamped with a palmette surmounted by a jellyfish head in relief; two fins struck with a decreasing series of 13 gadroons framed with pearls and drops. Each fin is attached to the bomb using two 2 brass screws. Aigret holder (called "crest ornament" from 1844) in brass composed of a lens decorated with palmettes, a socket with laurel branches and palmettes, and a black horsehair puff. Brass plume holder. Brass chinstraps in the shape of an intertwined 8 mounted on a leather chin strap; Brass rosette stamped with a radiant sun, attached to the bomb using a steel screw.
Mane of black horsehair, brush-shaped ending in a floating tail with an apparent length of approximately 80 cm. Inner headdress composed of a black patent leather headband topped with black canvas.
