POLICE HAT WITH BELLOWS
Hat body in madder cloth with white cloth piping placed on the vertical seams and in the middle of the sides. These pipings come together on the right side to form a point whose apex reaches the bottom of the hat. Two side flaps of elliptical shape in brown cloth, bordered on their convex development with a soutache in white cloth with visible madder-colored piping; these two pieces sewn at the bottom of the hat are connected together at each end by a seam, folding down as desired. The flaps are attached to the body at the top using a black lacquered metal clip. On the front, in the curvilinear angle drawn by the recess of the two flaps, a soutache in the shape of a Hungarian knot and a white wool pompom are sewn. At the front corner of the peak of the cap, a tassel of white wool trimmings is attached; H of the pompom cabochon 1 cm and the flames 4.5 cm.
Interior cover entirely in beige linen, well marked with the receipt stamp of “2nd. Huss. », dated “1e.66” 1866 and registered “1808”. Inside at the bottom of the cap, a leather tab is sewn to secure the chin strap.

Very good condition, three moth holes on one of the flaps, a few moth licks on one side of the hat, the chin strap is missing.
DOLMAN
Entirely in brown cloth, closing straight at the front with 18 smooth silver metal bell buttons. The front is trimmed with 18 white goat hair braids trimmed with three buttons each. The seams and false pockets are trimmed with white goat hair soubise braid. Collar in white braided madder cloth and lined with black velvet. Madder cloth facings bordered with a soubise braid in white goat hair forming a point, braid surmounted by a silver lizard braid indicating the rank of quartermaster. At the back from the lower back to the shoulders, soubise braids in white goat hair. Interior lining in ecru canvas, sewn in a quilted style. Interior waist belt in ocher calfskin.
Very good condition, accidents on the bottom braid of the dolman, accidents and losses on the inner calfskin belt.
