UNIFORM OF A LANCER OFFICER OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD IN SMALL DRESS, model 1856, Second Empire. 26893
CZAPSKA
In black oilcloth with a figured knot on the front of the bomb. Square pavilion, 17 cm x 17 cm. Gilded brass fittings at each corner and a hook on a right corner of the pavilion. On each side of the bomb a gilded brass eagle with hook is attached to secure the chin strap, H 3.5 cm. Brass curb chain made of rings, diameter 1.5 cm, mounted on an ocher calfskin chin strap. Black patent leather visor lined with a black waxed sheepskin, it is garnished with a gold brass bangle folded astride the outer edge. Interior cover in burgundy waxed leather cut into ten wolf teeth with scalloped edges, interior of the carcass lined with white silk striped in sky blue.
Total height 20 cm.
Half-spherical pompom in large twisted golden cinnamon threads for senior officers, diameter 5 cm mounted on wood lined with daffodil silk with iron rod folded in two for hanging.
Very good state.
RACKET CORD
Cord in gold trimmings, composed of a long cord with attaching threads and ending in two rackets with soft fringed tassel called "well ropes".

HABIT
Entirely in sky blue cloth with white piping, closing straight at the front with thirteen large-module uniform buttons, diameter 2 cm, in gilded brass half-bell stamped in relief with an imperial eagle. Straight collar in sky blue cloth with white piping closing with two metal clips. Facings cut into a white piped point, they are garnished with two small module uniform buttons, diameter 1.5 cm. Back with belt tab in white cloth piped in blue with small module button. Rolled back in sky blue cloth with white piping, false vertical pockets forming three points, white piping and garnished in each point with a large module uniform button, diameter 2 cm. Four large module buttons are attached at the waist. Shoulder straps in sky blue cloth embroidered with gold trimmings.
Ivory silk interior lining.

AGUILLETTES
Entirely in golden trimmings, double braided cord on their first half and finished with a golden brass ferret decorated with an “N” under a crown and laurel branches. White cloth tab.

COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL OF THE ITALIAN CAMPAIGN second type, created in 1859
Round in silver, representing on the obverse the effigy of the Emperor crowned with laurel, framed by the legend “NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR”, signed “BARRE”. On the reverse, inscription “ITALY CAMPAIGN - 1859” framing the name of the battles of “MONTEBELLO, PALESTRO, TURBIGO, MAGENTA, MARIGNAN, SOLFERINO”. Topped with an imperial crown. H 5.9 cm, width 3.1 cm.
Silk ribbon alternating 6 red vertical stripes and 5 white vertical stripes, it is bordered with a white border.
Very good state.
BELT
Black patent leather belt 5 cm wide, complete with its small suspension strap, gilded brass butcher.
Rectangular plaque (H 6.1 cm, width 7.5 cm) in silver-plated brass framed by a brass rod decorated in relief with a series of corollas of foliage. In the center of the tray, a radiant sun in brass stamped in relief is stapled to which is also stapled a crowned imperial eagle with outstretched wings stamped in brass. Rear with hook and trigger guard.

GIBERNE
Black leather banner covered with a burgundy calfskin banner cover closing with seventeen brass bell buttons, width 5.7 cm. Wooden box covered in burgundy waxed calfskin, H 7 cm, L at the top 14.5 cm, L at the bottom 14 cm. Leather patella covered in burgundy waxed calfskin H 8.5 cm, L at the top 14 cm, L at the bottom 16.4 cm.
Very good state.
