All steel metal fittings, walnut frame. Octagonal ribbon steel barrel, slightly blunderbussed at its mouth, length 20 cm, length with the breech tail 27.5 cm. Interior of the barrel with so-called “hair” stripes. Trigger guard equipped with a finger rest, lock called “à la Pontcharra” or “at the back” of the hammer signed “Manufre Rle de Châtellerault A Pihan”. The barrels are dated “1848” and marked “M N” (Manufacture Nationale). Steel stock cap with its unscrewing strap ring leaving room for the various accessories. Sloped and checkered walnut stock. Model wand with brass head.
