NFANTRY OFFICER'S AGUILLETTES OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD for campaign dress, Second Empire. 26870-3
Entirely in golden trimmings, double braided cord on their first half and finished with a golden brass ferret decorated with an “N” under a crown and laurel branches. At the top, the cords form a Hungarian knot which attaches to the shoulder.
France.
Second Empire.
Very good state.
NOTE :
This model is rare to encounter, it is distinguished from the full dress by its Hungarian knot shape, when the aiguillette is worn directly on the shoulder without epaulet, unlike the full dress where in this case the upper part is formed by a flap of cloth in the color of the uniform (in this case dark blue) which is placed under the body of the right epaulet.
