PAIR OF INFANTRY CAPTAIN'S SHOULDER EPAULETS OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, Second Empire. 26870-2

Entirely in gold trimmings, flat body finished with three turns, soft fringes called "well ropes", half-spherical button in gilded brass stamped with an imperial eagle with the inscription "IMPERIAL GUARD". Lining in dark blue, almost black cloth. Golden brass hook.
