HELMET OF FIREFIGHTERS OF THE COMMUNE OF DROSNAY, type 1852, Second Empire. 25494
Helmet made entirely of brass. Bomb topped with a crest stamped with a decreasing series of thirteen gadroons. Mask hit with a flaming bomb. Each fin is attached to the bomb using three round head screws. Black hair caterpillar. Front and rear headbands stamped with raised nets. Movable visor decorated with two crossed axes. Neck cover surrounded by a brass ring. Front plate stamped in relief with an imperial eagle against a background of a bundle of flags, with a ribbon at the bottom bearing the inscription “DÉVOUEMENT Srs POMPIERS DE DROSNAY”. Plumet holder with square section decreasing slightly towards the bottom. Chinstraps each composed of a rosette stamped with gadroons in relief and a leather chin strap covered with a brass plate stamped with a series of scales in relief.
