Inspired by the helmets of the Second Empire, and designated by the manufacturers as "all-copper fire helmet, with small crest", entirely in brass, crest shortened compared to its predecessors and reduced to 6 cm in height in its highest part . Decorated with a flaming bomb on the mask, fins struck with a decreasing series of 14 gadroons, brass front plate stamped with a flaming grenade framed by two palm leaves placed on a ribbon bearing the inscription “Srs POMPIERS DE ST PIERRE DE CH” ; Front and rear band at the base of the bomb stamped in relief with oak leaves. Visor and neck cover with folded brass bangle astride the outer edge. Chinstraps with chin straps stamped in one piece with a series of scales, round rosettes stamped with gadroons and fixed to the bomb by a screw and a nut. Interior leather headdress cut into nine wolf teeth.
