Star with five double rays with dappled points, enameled in white, framed by a light green enamelled branch of oak and laurel leaves. Obverse center in gold representing the effigy of the Republic (reported) in head to sinister profile, bordered by a blue enamel scroll with the inscription in gold letters “FRENCH REPUBLIC” as highlight. Center reverse presenting two crossed tricolor enameled flags, bordered by a blue listel bearing the inscription “HONOR AND HOMELAND”.
Bail in the shape of a branch of laurel and green enameled oak leaves, independent and topped with a small ball through which the suspension ring passes.
Scarlet moire silk ribbon with rosette.
Total height with bail 5.8 cm, diameter 4 cm.
Box covered in garnet morocco, interior in ivory velvet and silk.
