TRUMPET FLAME OF THE DRAGONS REGIMENT OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, model 1856, Second Empire. 26917

Double-sided flame in dark green cloth measuring 43.5 cm x 42 cm without fringes, embroidered in its center in madder cotton thread with an “N” topped with the imperial crown, H of the embroidered part 18.5 cm, width 17 cm. The flame is bordered with a 2 cm wide madder braid, sewn 2.5 cm from the edge of the flame. It is bordered on three sides with madder fringes 6 cm long. In the upper part, the flame forms a sheath reinforced by a thin rib. On both sides are sewn tabs in madder cloth lined with light brown calfskin, tab width 1.5 cm, length 8 cm.
