Round in shape, diameter 12.5 cm, in dark green cloth embroidered with the imperial crown, bordered with a 2 cm wide white braid and madder piping. The back is lined with an ecru canvas bearing the handwritten inscription in ink “Bouts de porte-manteau Congé de MARMION Louis 1862 Dragon de l'Impératrice”.
