KÉPI OF A NCO OF THE 3d HUSSARD REGIMENT, circa 1860-1866, Second Empire. 27014
Argentinian gray cloth headband, H 2.3 cm, decorated at the front with a white wool braid forming a horizontal Hungarian knot (knot width 12.2 cm). Headdress and cap in madder cloth with white braids, one highlighting the top of the headband, one vertical on the four sides, and one on the cap forming a Hungarian knot (cap framed by a white braid).
Square visor in black patent leather. Interior of headdress in ivory silk, interior headband in ocher calfskin.

From the model of October 5, 1868, this kepi was generalized to all hussar regiments regardless of the color of the dolman.
