In cardboard covered with sky blue cloth, bordered on the upper part with a braid woven with Hungarian points called “cracked” (H 2.7 cm) in silver trimmings, bourdalou in black patent leather, Hungarian knot in braid Silver applied under the cockade. Metal cockade embossed with a tricolor lacquered radiant sun (diameter 4 cm) to which is attached a double-strand square braid in silver trimmings held by a smooth golden half-spherical button. On the sides, tombac copper vents painted in the color of the bottom sheet.
Chin strap with gold brass curb chain lined with black velvet; on the sides and at the back of the headdress at the level of the braid and the bourdalou, three lion heads in gilded metal allow the chin strap to be held in place, visor in black patent leather surrounded by a golden brass bangle folded astride the outer border, lined in green waxed leather. Interior headdress in black leather cut into six wolf teeth, interior headdress in royal blue silk.
Plumet in hanging white rooster feathers, H 18 cm, mounted on a double metal rod. Silver cannetille pompom.

NOTE :
The white color of the plume is reserved for the special staff attached to the Presidency of the Republic from 1884 to 1887, then to the staff of the Minister of War from 1880 to 1914.
