LIEUTENANT'S CAP, FOOT HUNTERS OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, Second Empire. 26854

Dark blue cloth headdress, black velvet headband decorated at the front with a silver cinnamon pomegranate mounted on rectangular velvet, H 3.8 cm, in the upper part it is bordered with a silver braid of 1.4 cm woven lizard. The headband is surmounted by two rank braids in silver braid, cap with Hungarian knot drawn by a silver braid and framed in the same way. Half-spherical buttons in silver metal with false chinstrap in silver braid. Visor in black waxed leather, square in shape with a horse-folded leather rush sewn on the outer edge, lined inside with a green sheepskin. Black patent leather interior sweatband. Interior cover in black canvas.
