In black waxed leather, carcass reinforced at the top with a leather band (width 1.5 cm), an identical bourdalou (width 2.5 cm) and on each side with two leather strips (width 1.5 cm) sewn in a V with a black lacquered metal vent at the top center.
Visor in black waxed leather, green waxed interior, width 4 cm.
Gilt brass plaque stamped and cut with the crowned imperial eagle, placed on a globe cut with the number “I” with sparkling Jupiter beam, H 12.2 cm, width 10.5 cm.
Roundel in tricolor painted metal, diameter 5 cm.
Inner headdress in iron-gilded black sheepskin and scarlet silk. Cap lined with scarlet and gold-plated waxed morocco “Mel SPIQUEL / & Cie / 164 Rue St Honoré Paris / Equipemens Militaires”.
H at the front 12.5 cm, H at the back 18.5 cm.
Plume in daffodil rooster feathers at the top and scarlet at the bottom. Apparent height 17 cm, mounted on a rib reinforced with a double steel wire. Total height 28 cm.

Perfect condition with the exception of the inner headdress worn with some accidents, dirt and tears in the silk.
