Cardboard barrel covered with a sleeve of dark sky blue cloth. Cap and bourdalou in black patent leather. “Cul de dé” woven braid in black wool H 2.8 cm. Tricolor metal cockade attached to the barrel by means of a half-spherical brass button and a black wool braid. On the front of the shako, stamped and cut brass hunting horn. On each side of the barrel in the upper part, a sky blue lacquered metal aerator is fixed and in the lower part a brass lion's head intended to attach the chin strap. At the back at the top, a third brass lion's head. Visor in black waxed leather lined with black leather and bordered with a brass band. Inner headdress composed of a black waxed leather headband cut with six wolf teeth. Curb chinstrap composed of intertwined brass rings attached to a black patent leather chin strap.
Drooping plume in green-tinted rooster feathers. Olive pompom in black wool.
