Cardboard barrel covered with a sleeve of dark sky blue cloth. Cap and bourdalou in black patent leather. Woven braid “cul de dé” in silver trimmings striped in its center of madder silk, H 2.8 cm. Tricolor metal cockade attached to the barrel by means of a half-spherical button in metal and a braid in silver trimmings mixed with madder silk. On the front of the shako, stamped and cut brass hunting horn. On each side of the barrel in the upper part, a brass aerator is fixed and in the lower part a brass lion's head intended to attach the chin strap. At the back at the top, a third brass lion's head. Visor in black waxed leather lined with black leather and bordered with a brass band. Inner headdress composed of an ocher leather headband cut with six wolf teeth with ivory silk headdress. Curb chinstrap composed of intertwined brass rings attached to a black patent leather chin strap.
Olive pompom in silver trimmings mixed with madder silk for the rank of adjutant.
