Hat body in madder cloth with dark green cloth piping placed on the vertical seams and on the middle of the sides. These pipings come together on the right side to form a point whose apex reaches the bottom of the hat.
Two elliptical-shaped side flaps, in dark green cloth with madder piping; these two flaps are sewn to the hat,
, in the upper part in the middle they attach to the hat by means of a ring and a black lacquered metal hook, H 10.5 cm each.
On the front, in the curvilinear angle formed by the recess of the two flaps, a pomegranate cut from dark green cloth is sewn (width 3.5 cm, H 4.8 cm). At the front corner of the crown of the hat, a madder wool tassel is attached. Interior cap in ecru canvas numbered “2447” and dated 3rd quarter 1868 “3e.68”.
