In black “Flemish” felt highlighted with a large black woven braid; braid formed of three twists in matt gold, redoubling around a large module golden uniform button of an officer of the imperial guard (half-rounded, burnished and matt gold, stamped in relief with the imperial eagle and the inscription “GARDE IMPERIALE”), tricolor cockade, diameter 7 cm. Each horn is garnished with a gold trimmings flower. Pink silk inner headdress and brown calfskin headband.
Length 47 cm, width 17 cm, H 11 cm at the front, H 16 cm at the back.
Fairly good condition, cracks and wear to the felt.
Black lacquered wooden transport box, blue striped white paper interior, with manufacturer's label “Mon. AMBROIS, Lacger & Collin sucr suppliers to the general staff, civil and military headgear Paris trimmings furbisserie rue de la Chaussée d'Antin n° 22”. Iron lock and handle.
