SABRETACHE TROOP OF CHASSEUR À CHEVAL OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, model 1854, Second Empire. 18174
Sabretache in black waxed leather. Back of the tab hot-dated 1867, inscription “CHA de la GARDE” and hot-marked “534”. Interior pocket lined with ocher calfskin, H 26 cm, 17.8 cm wide at the top and 22.8 cm at the bottom. Flap covered in dark green cloth with bleached buffalo rush and saddle-stitched on the outer edge. Framing braid in white wool woven with sticks, width 3 cm. A brass plate stamped in relief and cut with the Great Imperial Arms is fixed in its center by means of a lace, H 17 cm, width 12.8 cm.
H of the sabretache 30 cm, width at the top 19.5 cm, width at the bottom 27.7 cm.
It is completed with three brass suspension rings in the shape of a rounded rectangle (rounded vertical parts). Complete with three suspension straps in bleached buffalo with unstitched edges, brass buckles, width 2 cm.
