SABRETACHE TROOP OF CHASSEUR À CHEVAL OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, model 1854, Second Empire. 27103
Sabretache in black waxed leather. Back of the tab hot-dated 1866, crown and inscription “CH de la Gde” and hot-marked “651”. Interior pocket lined with black canvas, H 26 cm, 17.5 cm wide at the top and 23.5 cm at the bottom. Flap covered in dark green cloth with bleached buffalo rush and saddle-stitched on the outer edge. Framing braid in white wool woven as a die, width 3.2 cm. A brass plate stamped in relief and cut with the Great Imperial Arms is fixed in its center by means of a lace, H 17 cm, width 12.8 cm.
H of the sabretache 29.5 cm, width at the top 19 cm, width at the bottom 27.5 cm.
It is completed with three brass suspension rings in the shape of a rounded rectangle (rounded vertical parts). Complete with three suspension straps in bleached buffalo with stitched edges, brass buckles, width 2 cm.
